COVID-19 - Business Continuity Plan

To Our Valued Clients, We hope all of you and your families are well and safe. These are troubling, uncertain times, but we will get through them together. Many of you are experiencing a disruption in your life like no other. We will be there for you as much as possible to help guide you through the next weeks. We have initiated our Business Continuity Plan with our first priority being the health and safety of our employees. Our actions include:

  • Work from Home. We recently upgraded our technology to allow us the ability to service your accounts remotely. The majority of our staff is set up safely in their homes and fully accessible via email.

  • Phones. As of right now, there will be someone in the office during normal business hours. We've reduced staff to limit exposure. If we need to reduce hours, we will communicate that to you. Please note, if someone from our office is trying to reach you while working remotely, their phone number will come up a "private caller".

  • Our carriers remain accessible to renew your policies, take payments, process changes, and bind new business.

  • Visit our website and social media (Facebook/Instagram) for carrier contacts and updated information. We are working diligently to get as much information online as possible Client Portal.

  • You may access your policy information anytime via the client portal link on our website (https://www.insuresi.com/online-services)

  • Several carriers are offering payment assistance to their insureds in ways of moving billing dates and deferred payments. If you are in need of assistance, we encourage you to reach out to the carrier to find what options are available for you. A word of Advice about your Auto Insurance During this economic upheaval, some of you may be thinking of taking your vehicle off the road. New York State Law requires that if you have plates on your vehicle, you must have insurance in place. If you are going to return your plates to the DMV to cancel your car insurance, we suggest taking out a Named-Non-Auto policy in the interim. These policies are relatively inexpensive and allow you to maintain your continuous insurance discount for when you are ready to put your car back on the road. For Our Business Owners Our hearts are with you as we navigate these uncharted waters together. Many of you have asked about Business Income Interruption Coverage. The New York State Department of Financial Services, which over sees the insurance department, has required insurance carriers to send a letter to policy holders with Business Income Interruption Coverage explaining this coverage and when it is triggered. If you have any additional questions whatsoever, we are here to help. We have been in talks with several carriers to look for ways to offer rate relief for those affected by policies that are based on sales. As we are updated with more information, we will let you know. The New York City Department of Small Business Services has been helpful in assisting with business continuity loans and is also conducting a survey on how this is affecting your business. I encourage you to complete the survey here As a small, family business, we feel each and every one of your struggles and will do our best to help you. We are closely monitoring the CDC, as well as the New York State and New York City guidelines as they are changing rapidly to do our part to flatten the curve. We thank you for your partnership and your business. All the best, The Team at Alpha/Omega Coverage Corp
